Laying fresh turf is a quick way to having an established lawn without waiting for seed to grow.
We offer a turfing service where we use the very best quality turf purchased from a local company.
Our turf is cut to order meaning that our turf is no more than 2 days old on delivery, mostly is it delivered the day after being cut.
Scarification is the process of removing moss, dead grass and other contaminants from your lawn commonly referred to as thatch.
Thatch can prevent your lawn from looking its best as it can stop the water from rainfall and watering from getting to the roots. It does this by causing a dense barrier at the bottom of the grass stems and it blocks moisture from getting to the roots acting like a spo, then when the sun comes out it simply evaporates away.
Scarification is best done in the spring and autumn months when there is less risk of the ground being to dry for the grass to recover properly.
We always do a weed and feed treatment a couple weeks before scarification. This helps to kill off the moss and weeds before hand making them easier to see and remove.
We can also re-seed after scarification however this is better done without the use of feed treatment as this can be too strong for the grass seed to start growing as it can burn the delicate roots.
Lawn feed and weed treatment can be done throughout the year, we offer this along side our grass cutting schedule and recommend it be done 2 to 4 times a year for best results .
Customers who have a nice flat lawn can also take advantage of our cylinder mowing service.
Lawns will be cut using our Allett Stirling 51 Battery powered cylinder mower which will give stripes so crips and sharp your neighbours will think they have been painted on.
